Went to the Job Fair at school today. Thinkin' I am gonna stay in Columbus for a couple years after I graduate and work here. I don't know what I will do after that. Maybe do travel nursing for our a while. Maybe keep working in Columbus for a while. I definitely won't be working in Zanesville until I am old and wrinkly. I talk to the Navy nurse. They offer pretty amazing pay because it is all tax free and medical expenses for yourself are totally covered. I guess they can give you that for being in such rigid hierarchy, where you get screamed at constantly when you join. That option is definitely at the bottom of my list.

Been dating Arissa for nearly eight months now. It is going great. I don't know what'll happen when I am in Columbus 90% of the time. She is not possessive at all. She does yell at me for my vices. Not aggressive like Eddie but more like my mother. I know it is just because she cares.

Brian call me if you want to play halo online this evening or any evening. We can meow like cats at people!

Well our cameras have arrived. I opened Eddie's at the apartment and he is opening mine in Zanesville. We had them delivered to separate places for some reason that I can't remember. I won't be home until tomorrow night so I opened his.

I think it is pretty nice for the deal we got. The accessory kit comes with a rechargeable AA battery station. I haven't loaded any pictures onto a computer yet. I think 4.1 MP is enough for what I want the camera for. With the128MB SD card that came with the deal I can take 84 of the highest quality pictures at top resolution. I think I will copy off Dan and make an LJ icon of yours truly. I can also sell my Zoom bass guitar pedal and comics that I don't want anymore on ebay.

Brian, I need you to teach me how to use HTML sometime.

It will be nice to be done with finals next wednesday.

I have figured out that not only THE TOILET of THE WORLD is broken but also THE REFRIGERATOR has also fallen under the malevolence of THE GREMLINS.
Dear Ballarat applicants,

Thank you for your interest in this study abroad program. I am writing with
some very important information regarding the cost of this program.

Unfortunately, due to a very unfavorable exchange rate between the U.S. dollar
and the Australian dollar, the cost of the program will need to be increased by
$2, 140. This brings the total costs paid to OSU to approximately $7, 142.
(Your summer quarter 2004 Statement of Account would bill you for your full-time
OSU tuition/fees (approx. $1,997) + $5, 145 Study Abroad Program Fee.

Please bear in mind that these costs cover your tuition and housing only at
Ballarat. There are other additional expenses for which you will be
responsible. These additional costs include airfare, the Australian student
visa ($272), food, in-country transportation, books/supplies, etc.

We realize that this increase could affect your willingness to partipate in
this program. Please notify me if you would like to keep your application
under consideration, or if you would prefer to have it withdrawn from
consideration by Thursday, February 26.

Additionally, Ballarat has recently informed us that they are only able to take
three students this year, due to their unusually large number of students this
year. Since we had more than three students apply, we will develop a wait list
for the program.

Thank you very much for your understanding with these matters. Please do not
hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Best regards,
Jeannie

Extra Spearmint is the best gum.

I want to play FF: Crystal Chronicles with Jim, Dan, and Brian. I don't really have enough cash to buy another game at the moment though. I never enjoy playing Square RPG's by myself for some reason. I guess that is why I am more interested in FF:CC. It will be fun to sit down and play through an RPG with other people. Jim and Brian can bitch at each other while Dan and I act completely ludicrous. Nobody will know what's going on but by God we will know that we are playing it together! I told Dan I would get him a cable for his SP if he would pay me back after he gets his job. Playing should be great fun if someone gets a hold of a copy of it. With that said do yous guys want to play it?

Nearly every penny of my B-day money I have placed aside in case I go to Australia. It is going hella expensive for everything if I get accepted to the program. I figured I would go ahead and get my passport since they are good for ten years and I can use it to get into Canada or Mexico if need be. It was eighty-five dollars. I will also have to get my Student Visa which will probably be a pretty penny also.

I watched an episode of MacGyver today that had Teri Hatcher in it. She is a terrible actress and that episode affirmed it.

If you can't tell the world she is a good little girl, then just say nothing at all...

    <lj:music>Space Ghost - Coast to Coast Theme</lj:music>

I was driving back to the apartment after clinical today and saw an anti-abortion poster on the side a delivery truck. The truck had a picture of a 1st trimester bloody fetus on both sides of the trailer. Next to the fetus was some common anti-abortion phrase and the URL www.abortionno.org. It was so disgusting I didn't pay attention to the traffic around me for a brief period. I don't really have a strong stance on abortion at this point in my life. I don't think anyone should have to see an ugly dead fetus when trying to enjoy a days drive. I think something like that poster would actually frighten a small child looking at it from the back seat of mommy's mini-van. I have seen many disturbing and grotesque things in college but nothing caught me by surprise like that poster did today. The funny thing is the poster didn't strengthen my views on why abortion is wrong. I am still neutral but mildly nauseated.

I finally unlocked everything in Warioware. The unlockable Pyoro games are insane. I went back and tried to beat some of my records on the story-mode games. That game has more replay value than any other game I own.

It is sad how interrupting mom's new job is. She isn't teaching classes anymore. She is the clinical coordinator at COTC. Which basically means she organizes when and where students meet at hospital sites, etc. She got a lot of phone calls when she was teaching. But now every time an instructor screws up, a student can't make it to clinical, or when a student gets lost going to a clinical site our phone rings. What's worse is she has to be the clinical coordinator and take a group of students for a clinical next quarter. Whenever mom isn't home and Eddie and I are, we get to play receptionist. It is funny because sometimes I tell the people calling to hang up and leave a detailed message on the answering machine. I guess Mom chose the job and will have to deal with it.

Mom and I watched part of the Paul Newman marathon yesterday. We saw most of Exodus, all of Cool Hand Luke, and all of Alfred Hitchcock's Torn Curtain. I really enjoyed sitting down and watching those movies with Mom. The annoying part was that someone called the house about every twenty minutes while we were trying to watch the movies and I had to update mom when she returned. I liked Cool Hand Luke the best out of the three. I didn't think Paul Newman was a very convincing nuclear physicist in Torn Curtain.

Needless to say the drive to Columbus this evening was frightful. I drove at a moderate speed of 40 to 50 mph. I went to pass a semi that was driving extremely slow and this moron in a beamer rode my ass the entire time that I was in the passing lane. Once I got back in the right lane he sped past me at around 65 mph, which was way to fast for the amount of snow that was on the road. GRRR. If anybody sees Billy Bad Ass or Tommy Tough Ass driving on the snow WATCH OUT! Oh and give them the bird while you are at it.

There will be no pool night this Friday night. Mom, Eddie, and I are going to my uncle's house to celebrate the January and February birthdays in my family.

    <lj:music>You're a mean one Mr. Grinch.....</lj:music>

I have no clue when I am going to help Mom decorate for Christmas. I think we are at least going to do the Christmas tree in the living room and the Star Wars tree in my room (We need a decoration of Genndy Tartakovsky hanging Lucas by a noose). I think we are also going to put up the spiral trees in the yard.

Decorating always seems like a big "to do" at our house. We usually do it the weekend after Thanksgiving. We were busy bumping arms with everyone in New York City this year. I feel like I have missed something very dear to me by not decorating at that particular time this year. For those of you who don't know.... my family historically puts out vast amounts of brick-a-brack for the season. The past couple of years we haven't had time to put every piece out. This year is going to be even smaller. I hope that next year we will go back to our old tradition.

The Mix 93.3 has been playing Christmas music since the second week of November. Which I think is absolutely insane. I have been listening to it every minute when in Columbus so I must be equally insane. Sunny 95 is now playing seasonal music. I flip between the two stations to hear which one is playing the best Christmas tune. Some of the songs make me teary-eyed. I especially like Nat King Cole's version of Chestnut's Roasting On An Open Fire. The song's proper title is The Christmas Song.

The first thing I am going to do when I get home next Wed. is shop for ingredients for an excellent fruitcake recipe my mom and I are going to make together. I can't describe how wholesome it makes me feel to know I will be baking this cake with her this holiday season. After we get the ingredients I am going to pop in A Christmas Story into the old Digital Versatile Dog player and enjoy.

I asked Brian if he would like to go see The Last Samurai and Master and Commander next friday which is the 12th. Everyone is invited to come along if I can borrow the van from mom. Let me know via LJ or phone if you want to come.

I saw a man with a long black coat, a black beret, and a goat beard drive by on a Seque (sp?) yesterday as I was leaving statistics lecture. I believe he had a laptop bag across one of his shoulders. If he wasn't going at such a phenomenal speed I would have laughed out loud at him. Brian said he should put a bumper sticker on his ride that would say "Live the Stereotype". That would be a hilarious sight to see.

Speaking of living the stereotype, we need a Starbucks, Chipotle, and Movieplex in Zanesville. I know the subject has been tossed around a lot (in my circle of friends anyway) already. Our movie theater bites greats amount of ass.
